O R D E R

The petitioner/accused in Crime No. 8 of 2024 , on the file of the first respondent police have moved this petition to quash the above proceedings pending as against them.

2.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the first respondent submits that the investigation in Crime No.8 of 2024 has already been completed and final report has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court Alangudi, through e-filing No.LTN20220002469C202500043, on 22.08.2025.

3.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) that the final report has been filed, this court is not inclined to proceed with the first information report alone. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. Mere filing of the final report is not sufficient and it is the responsibility of the respondent police to ensure that the final report is filed in order 2/4

and it is taken on file by the concerned Court within a period of two weeks. It is also the responsibility of the concerned Courts to take the final report on file, without delay. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
