: Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 8 herein to pay Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) towards compensation to the petitioner's minor son S.Sanjai, aged 14, and consequently direct the 4th respondent herein to transfer the investigation in Crime No.170 of 2015 on the file of the Gudalore South Police Station, Theni to the 9th respondent herein for fair and speedy investigation.

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents 1 to 8 herein to pay Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) towards compensation to the petitioner's minor son S.Sanjai, aged 14, and consequently direct the 4th respondent herein to transfer the investigation in Crime No.170 of 2015 on the file of the Gudalore South Police Station, Theni to the 9th respondent herein for fair and speedy investigation.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that after registering FIR in Crime No.170 of 2015, the fifth respondent has completed the investigation and the same was closed as 'mistake of fact' on 11.06.2017 itself. Therefore, the prayer sought by the petitioner has become infructuous. 3.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. However, the fifth respondent is directed to serve referred charge sheet notice to the petitioner. On receipt of the same, the petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court concerned in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
