2. I had a look at the First Information Report which has been registered for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 506(i) of I.P.C. I find it strange that transfer of investigation is sought in such a case. In any event, the grievance of the petitioner pertained to the then Inspector of Police. He has since been transferred and also retired from service. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.

3. The writ petition stands dismissed.

No costs.
