The petitioner has assailed an order dated 19.01.2016 of the second respondent by which the request for patta in the name of the Arulmighu Sri Sangaiah Koil for the property at Old S.F.No.22/4A, New S.F.No.552, 553 of an extent of 33 cents in Mullipallam Village, Vadipatti Taluk, was rejected.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the temple had claimed patta for an extent of 33 cents. By proceedings dated 16.03.2015, the third respondent had recommended that patta be issued for 10 cents of land. Since the said recommendation was not acted upon and rejected subsequently, the writ petition was filed.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits, on written instructions, that a road has been laid on the above mentioned land and that it is not possible any longer to grant patta in respect thereof.

4. In view of the subsequent development, the writ petition has been rendered infructuous. By taking note of the subsequent developments, W.P.(MD).No.3624 of 2016 is disposed of without any order as to costs. 30.03.2023 NCC :Yes/No Internet :Yes/No Index :Yes/No sbn To 1.The District Collector, Madurai District.
