ORDER

Seeking a mandamus to the second respondent to dispose the case of the petitioner in Na.Ka.a3/3342/2019 based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.08.2019, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. The petitioner has applied for issuance of computerised patta on 30.08.2019 in respect of his land in S.No.30/3A of Paiyur Pillai Vayal Village, Sivagangai Taluk. After considering the petitioner's application, the second respondent sent a notice dated 05.11.2019 to the Deputy Tahsildar and Village Administrative Officer to submit a report. Meanwhile, there was lockdown due to Covid-19 and no orders have been passed and thereafter, the petitioner would submit that the application has gone to cold storage.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. Considering the above, this Writ Petition is allowed and a mandamus is issued to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.08.2019 for grant of computerised patta in respect of his land to an extent of 0.35.00 ares in S.No.30/3A at Paiyur Pillai Vayal Village, Sivagangai Taluk within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
