The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to subdivide the property settled in his favour under the settlement deed dated 02.08.2023 in respect of the property situate in S.NO. 185/31 A in Musiri West Revenue Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District. 2.Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, his wife executed a settlement deed dated 02.08.2023 settling 1412.50 square feet of land in the above mentioned survey number in his favour under the settlement deed, dated 02.08.2023. Based on the said document, the petitioner submitted an application on 05.08.2025 seeking subdivision and issuance of separate 2/5

patta, but the same has not been considered. Hence he has come before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with the law. 5.In the view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 05.08.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
