This Writ Petition has been filed directing the second respondent to conduct enquiry and take departmental action of the erring Inspector namely Ganasekar in Palakarai Police Station based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.01.2016. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the Inspector of Police, Palakarai, namely Ganasekar, has received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- illegally from one Charles. Due to that, the petitioner lodged a complaint against the said Ganasekar before the second respondent police. But, so far, no action has been taken. 3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the second respondent police has filed a counter statement, wherein, it is stated that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, an enquiry has been conducted and the same was closed on the ground that there is no proof in the complaint filed by the petitioner.

4. Considering the fact that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, an enquiry has been conducted and the same was closed, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
