The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondent/the Regional Transport Officer, Marthandam, Kanyakumari District to consider his representation dated 15.10.2015. In fact, the very same petitioner has filed earlier W.P.(MD)No.32330 of 2002 seeking an identical prayer arraying the Regional Transport Officer, Nagercoil as the respondent. This Court vide order dated 26.11.2002 had directed the respondent to consider and dispose of the application on merits and in accordance with law within four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

2. Mr.R.Murugan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent points out that the representation has been filed before the Regional Transport Officer, Nagercoil whereas the respondent arrayed as in this writ petition is the Regional Transport Officer, Marthandam, Kanyakumari District.

3. In the light of the aforesaid, mandamus sought cannot be granted. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh application before the appropriate Regional Transport Officer within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. addressed, after hearing the petitioner and in accordance with law.

4. This wit petition is disposed in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
