The Executive Officer of Arulmighu Thenupureeswaraswami Temple, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, forbearing the first respondent from interfering with the administration and management of the tank comprised in Survey Number 278/3 called as Gayathiri Kulam situated in Patteeswaram Village within Kumbakonam Taluk limits. 2.Today(15.02.2023), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent produced a written instruction, which he has received from the 2/4

President, Patteeshwaram Panchayat, dated 15.02.2023 that the Panchayat has not claimed any title over the Kulam at S.No.278/3, Patteeswaram Village, Kumbakonam.

3.In view of the specific stand taken by the first respondent, nothing survives in this writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed as no further order is required. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
