PRAYER:- Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents herein to Correct the Date of Birth of the Petitioner from 16.02.1993 to 09.12.1993 in the Mark Sheet of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate, Higher Secondary Course Certificate and the Transfer Certificate based on the Birth Certificate by considering his representation dated 24.11.2021.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents and particularly the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 24.11.2021, wherein the petitioner is seeking for correction of date of birth of the petitioner from 16.02.1993 to 09.12.1993 in the mark sheet of the secondary school leaving certificate and higher secondary course certificate and also the transfer certificate.
2. Heard Mr.R.Ilayaraja, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Thambidurai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. It is seen from the records that the date of birth of the petitioner as per the birth certificate that was issued on 15.12.1993 was 09.12.1993. However, in the secondary school leaving certificate, higher secondary course certificate and also in the transfer certificate, the date of birth has been mentioned as 16.02.1993. The petitioner is seeking for correcting the date of birth. Accordingly, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 2/4

This Court had an occasion to deal with the similar issue in WP(MD)No.1433 of 2021 and by order dated 03.08.2021, this Court directed the authorities to make necessary changes in the date of birth by taking into account the date of birth that was mentioned in the birth certificate. Similar directions can be issued in this writ petition also.
5. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the second respondent along with all the relevant documents. The second respondent, on receipt of the same, shall make necessary changes in the date of birth as 09.12.1993 instead of 16.02.1993 in the mark sheet of the secondary school leaving certificate, higher secondary course certificate and also in the transfer certificate. This process shall be completed by the second respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
