ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and perused the affidavit and documents annexed in the typed set of papers.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that he was the successful bidder for removal of Karuvelam Trees standing in Karunkulam Kanmai, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. The petitioner was not able to remove the Karuvelam Trees due to flooding of rain water in the Kanmoi and therefore, he has given a representation to the first respondent for extension of time, which was positively considered by the first respondent and three months time was extended i.e., from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.3990 of 2016 06.01.2016 to 05.03.2016. Thereafter, when the petitioner engaged workers to cut and remove the Karuvelam Trees, the respondents 3 to 5 herein prevented them from cutting and removing the Karuvelam Trees. In order to utilize the above said extension of time, the petitioner sought for police protection from the respondent police. Now, the extended period itself is over and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
