ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 31.07.2019, requesting to sanction additional posts viz., One Junior Assistant, One Office Assistant, Two Scavengers and One Night Watchman to the petitioner School.

2.Mr.A.Thiagarajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.According to the petitioner School, the petitioner School is a recognized and aided educational institution. The Government has announced revised norms on teacher-student ratio under G.O.Ms.No.525, School Education Department, dated 29.12.1997 with effect from 01.06.1998, insofar as teaching staff are concerned. The student strength in the School is more than 250. Therefore, the petitioner School is entitled to have one Junior Assistant, one Office Assistant, two Scavengers and one Night Watchman. However, the Government has not sanctioned the additional posts in the petitioner School.

Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 31.07.2019, for sanctioning additional posts of one Junior Assistant, one Office Assistant, two Scavengers and one Night Watchman. However, till date, no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition. 4.Considering the nature of relief sought for in the Writ Petition, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2019, on merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
