This petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pudukkottai, to dispose the appeal in C.A No.8 of 2022 within a reasonable time to be stipulated by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in the C.A.No.8 of 2022. He has filed a case in C.C.No.158 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aranthangi, against the respondent under Section 138 of N.I.Act. In which the respondent was convicted by the Judgment dated 13.12.2021. Against which, the respondent/accused filed the present appeal before the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pudukkottai. Though the appeal was filed in the year 2021, so far it is not concluded. Hence, seeking speedy disposal of the above said appeal, this petition has been filed.

3.Considering the oldness of the crime, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pudukkottai, to dispose of the appeal within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
