ORDER
The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to take necessary action and rectify the mistake in Patta No.1162 issued in respect of the property situated in Survey No. 28, now subdivided as Survey Nos.28/1A and 28/2A, Sevanthilingapuram Village, Musiri Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Ramakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, the subject property originally belonged to his father under a registered sale deed dated 18.05.1974. The petitioner's father died leaving behind the petitioner, his siblings and his mother. In the revenue records, the names of one Thangavel and Nadesan are included erroneously. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 14.07.2025 before the respondents seeking cancellation of patta in Patta No.1162 issued in the names of above mentioned persons and restoration of the patta in the names of the petitioner, his siblings and his mother. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of
a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, other legal heirs of petitioner's father, Chinnasamy, the above mentioned Thangavel and Nadesan and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
