BEFORE THE MADURAI BENCH OF MADRAS HIGH COURT DATED: 06.11.2023
CORAM:
THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE G.R.SWAMINATHAN in W.P(MD)No.27673 of 2022 Malarvizhi ... Petitioner / Petitioner Vs.
Saravana Babu, Tahsildar, Theni, Theni District.
... Contemnor/ 4th Respondent PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the contemnor / respondent herein for committing grave contempt and gross disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.27673 of 2022 dated 14.12.2022.

For Petitioner : Mr.S.Muniyandi For Respondent : Mr.V.Nirmal Kumar Government Advocate
ORDER
Heard both sides.
2. One Chinna Thevar passed away on 15.01.2015. The petitioner claims to be his grand daughter. The grievance of the petitioner is that her mother's name was omitted while issuing legal heir certificate of Chinna Thevar. That led to the filing of W.P(MD)No.27673 of 2022. This writ petition was disposed of on 14.12.2022. Contending that the order passed by this Court has not been complied with, the present contempt petition came to be filed.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the Tahsildar, Theni has passed an order dated 26.10.2023 cancelling the earlier legal heir certificate issued. It is made clear that it is open to any of the concerned parties to submit a 2/4
fresh online application and obtain a proper legal heir certificate. I am satisfied that the order of this Court has been complied with.
4. This Contempt Petition stands closed.
