This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent and 3rd to 6th respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2023 for exhumation and burial of the body from S.F.No.308/2 to S.F.No.67/2 in Koothur Village, Mannachanallur Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District. 2/6

2. According to the petitioner, the burial ground in S.No. 308/2 has been established very near to the residential premises. The act of burying corpse creates enormus health hazards to the residents. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 13.02.2023, seeking to shift the burial ground from S.F.No.308/2 to S.F.No.67/2 in Koothur Village, Mannachanallur Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 to 6 would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 13.02.2023 would be considered in accordance with law.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 13.02.2023, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
