: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct procession will be held on 29.09.2024 for the welfare of the people and to prevent natural disorder and protect Hindu's culture during the time playing Sangu Natham and Sivavathiyam from Thachanallur Sivan Kovil to Arukankulam Sivankovil and Separai Sivan Kovil, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 16.09.2024.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct procession will be held on 29.09.2024 for the welfare of the people and to prevent natural disorder and protect Hindu's culture during the time playing Sangu Natham and Sivavathiyam from Thachanallur Sivan Kovil to Arukankulam Sivankovil and Separai Sivan Kovil, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 16.09.2024.

2. Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the Inspector of Police, Thachanallur Police Station, has rejected the petitioner's representation mainly on the ground that the petitioner has not furnished the particulars of the participants and the distance and also proposed procession is to take the place in the double bridge. He would further submit that the respondent 2/4

police are ready to suggest the alternative route and in case, if the petitioner restricts the timings, they are ready to consider the petitioner's representation positively.

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that they are ready to accept the same.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, the petitioner is directed to give fresh representation incorporating the route suggested by the police and also the timings and on receipt of such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass orders on or before 28.09.2024.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
