ORDER

This writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the worshippers of Lord Ramar Temple situated at Ponnanvidithi Village, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner, dated 25.02.2016.

2.The representation of the petitioner is with reference to some incidents on 17.01.2013 and after the peace committee meeting held on 14.01.2016. The representation of the petitioner was to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD).No.4557 of 2016 give police protection to the petitioner and his group to offer worship in the temple.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner is not present and this Court has no means to find out as to the present status of the temple and the persons who wants to exercise their right to worship. In order to avoid any embarrassment, this Court is of the view that the writ petition can be disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent, in case the petitioner and his group are not allowed to worship as it is agreed in the peace committee meeting. After hearing the third respondent and any other person who is interested, the respondents 1 and 2 may take appropriate decisions in the manner known to law. 4.With the above directions, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
