ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police 1/4

for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 406, 417, 419, 420, 465, 468, 471, 120B of IPC in Crime No. 9 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant's land was usurped by one Arumugam and other accused using forged documents, including a power of attorney and sale deed. The defacto complainant alleged to have lodged a complaint against the petitioner as he has signed in the documents and now the petitioner is apprehending arrest. Hence the petition. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. The petitioner is only a witness to the document. 4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) for the respondent submits that the petitioner is Accused No.5 in this case, who has signed as a witness to the unlawful registration of the defacto complainant's property. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and also the overt act 2/4

attributed against this petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to move a fresh application after taking steps for cancellation of the document registered by them.
