O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry in respect of a complaint allegedly given by the respondent No.3.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is working as Government Servant and is residing at Salem and that the respondent No.2 police have been asking the petitioner to appear for enquiry, however, since the petitioner is a single woman, she is not able to attend for the enquiry on account of her employment, thereby suitable directions are sought for. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that the complaint filed by the respondent No.3 against the petitioner is numbered as CSR.No.328 of 2023 and during the course of enquiry, when the summons have been issued, the petitioner is not cooperating. It is submitted further that two more cases are pending between the petitioner and the respondent No.3 in different police 2/5

stations and in case if the petitioner appears herself or through her counsel, the purpose would be resolved.

4.Considering the circumstances made by the learned counsel on either side and on perusal of the records, this Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to complete the enquiry in CSR.No.328 of 2023 as expeditiously as possible, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police for enquiry on receipt of summons and in case if she is not able to appear for any personal reasons, she is permitted to represent a counsel, however, if during the course of enquiry, the presence of the petitioner is imminent, the petitioner must attend may be on a holiday by informing the police in advance.
