For Petitioner : Mr.M.Karthick For Respondents : Mr.SS.Madhavan Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondents herein to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the Kabaddi Competition at Kalaigar Stadium, Adhanur Village, Thuraiur Taluk, Trichy District. 2.It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent Police on 05.09.2023 seeking permission and for providing protection for conducting kabaddi competition. However, the same is not considered so far and therefore, sought for suitable directions. It is submitted further that now the petitioner intends to perform the Kabadi tournament on 14.10.2023 and on 15.10.2023.

3.Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the petitioner has not provided any details with regard to number of teams and other requirements to be taken, thereby the permission was not granted. 2/4

Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to approach the respondent Police afresh and file application by giving all the details in respect of the hygiene, play grounds, accommodation to the players, toilets, medical facilities like ambulance, food, refreshment etc and on being satisfied only, the respondent Police are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible. No costs.
