[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
2.Though the learned Government Pleader would submit that the houses were constructed in 1985 - 1986 and handed over to the allottees and it is for them to look after the maintenance of the house, it is seen from the correspondence that there is a scheme for repairing or reconstructing the house under the Rural Repair House Scheme. The letter of the Block Development Officer dated 15.04.2024, shows that a census has been conducted and required proposal has been sent to the Government. 3.The Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department is required to take a call on the issue and inform the petitioner accordingly. Let the needful be done within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
4.The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above observation. No Costs.
