PRAYER : Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the Contemnor/respondent for the willful disobedience and violating the orders passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.18930 of 2016 dated 24.07.2023.

For Petitioner : Mr.V.Kannan For Respondent : Mr.R. Senthilkumar O R D E R This Contempt Petition has been filed complaining willful disobedience of the respondent in implementing the order, dated 24.07.2023, passed in W.P.(MD)No.18930 of 2016 in true letter and spirit.

2. During the course of hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the order of the Court is complied with and an amount of Rs.5,24,670/- (Rupees Five Lakh Twenty Four Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy only) is paid as per the directions of 2/5

the Court. He has placed a Letter No.057471/L9/SM/SETC/2023 dated 28.10.2023 of the State Express Transport Corporation (Tamil Nadu) Ltd., Chennai - 2, stating these facts. It is placed on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner also endorsed that the order of the Court is complied with and the petitioner received the amount.

4. In view of the above factual position, in our considered opinion, no further adjudication is required in this Contempt case.
