PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the 75% of the subsistence allowance based upon the representation of the petitioner dated 18.01.2024.

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Headquarters Deputy Tashildar under suspension, seeking a mandamus to enhance the subsistence allowance from 50% to 75%.

2.Seeking the above said benefits, the petitioner has sent a representation on 18.01.2024 to the second respondent contending that the period of suspension has already crossed 6 months. However, no orders have been passed by the second respondent. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner dated 18.01.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, in the light of Fundamental Rules 53(1) of the Tamil Nadu Government, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
