ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police 1/3

for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 6(4) of Tamilnadu Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order 1982 read with 7(1)a(ii) of Essential Commodities Act in Crime No. 205 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 10.08.2025, when the respondent police were in routine checkup near the Pudukkottai District, they found the petitioner in illegal possession of 44 bags of rice amounting to 1100 Kgs of PDS rice. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) for the respondent submits that the petitioner is Accused No.1 in this case, who has transported 1100 Kgs of PDS rice in illegal manner. He further submits that the petitioner is having three other previous cases in similar nature.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and also the fact that the 2/3
