O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb of the petitioner on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 21.10.2022.

The case of the prosecution is that originally a property in Survey No.368/1A belongs to one Karuppaiah Ambalam and he has executed a Will in favour of his sons namely Nambu Pitchai, Nambu Rajan and the legal heirs of Nambu Pitchai. The said Nambu Pitchai is the grand father of the petitioner and he executed a power of attorney on 05.04.2010 in favour of one Thamaraiselvi. After few months, on 28.12.2010, said Nambu Pitchai was passed away and so, the said power of attorney document No.67/2010 became null and void. Thereafter, the 2/6
said Thamaraiselvi executed a sale deed in favour of one S.A.Anbuthassan by fabricating the documents. After demise of the said Nambu Pitchai, the said Thamaraiselvi, Athimoolam, Muniyasamy and document Writer Xavier Rajan Brito have created a false documents and obtained a life certificate for the said Nambu Pitchai, who is grant father of the petitioner and executed the said sale deed. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner made a complaint before the second respondent, in pursuant to which, a case in Crime No,12 of 2022 was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 465, 468, 471, 420, 120(b) of IPC. Further, the anticipatory bail applications filed by the accused persons were dismissed. Subsequently, the third and fourth respondents are continuously harassing the petitioner and threatening him with dire consequences, to withdraw the complaint. Thereby, the petitioner made a complaint before the Inspector General of Police, Madurai on 21.10.2022, but so far no action has been taken, hence, the present petition has been filed seeking direction.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents Police are directed to complete the enquiry in the complaint of the petitioner, dated 21.10.2022, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents Police would submit that he has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents Police to consider the petitioner's complaint, dated 21.10.2022, if not already disposed of and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving opportunity to the necessary parties.
