(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM J.) With reference to the relief sought for in the present writ petition, the learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the encroachers filed separate writ petitions in W.P. (MD) Nos.135182 and 13542 of 2025 and a direction was issued to follow the procedures as contemplated under the Act and remove the encroachments and to provide alternate tenement/land patta for the landless poor people.

2. Since the process of evicting the encroachers is in progress, the grounds raised in the present writ petition deserve no further adjudication. However, the entire exercise is directed to be completed as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
