PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the second respondent in A6/1646/2012, dated 12.02.2016 and the consequential Gazette Notification No.VI(2)/18(a)/2016, dated 25.02.2016, quash the same as illegal.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed challenging the Government Order passed by the first respondent herein, confirming the order passed by the second respondent under Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, 1994. The tenure of the petitioner has expired in the year 2016 and any disqualification incurred by the writ petitioner has also expired in the year 2019. Hence, nothing survives in the present writ petition.

2. In view of the above said facts, the writ petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition stands closed.
