Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the cultural programme (ie.,) Karakattam, Villisaipattu, and sound system programme from 31.01.2022 to 02.02.2021 and Innisai Katcheri on 03.02.2022 at 6.00 pm to 12.00 am in the festival of Arulmigu Sri Bathrakaliamman Thirukovil at Maavadikkal, Kadaiyanallur Taluk, Tenkasi District and to provide necessary police protection. The petitioner wants to hold the petition mentioned event. 2.It is stated that there is no communal angle. 3.The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Puliyankudi, Tenkasi District is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to hold the petition mentioned event. It is open to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Puliyankudi, Tenkasi District to stipulate appropriate conditions to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The petitioner through his counsel gives an undertaking that the organizers of the event will adhere to the police directives.
