COMMON ORDER The impugned final reports arise out of the FIRs lodged by rival parties. Hence, these two petitions are taken up together and disposed of by way of this common order.

The petitioners in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14288/2025 arrayed as A1 to A9 have filed this petition to quash the impugned final report in C.C.No. 231 of 2024 filed for the offence under Sections 147, 294(b), 341, 342, 323 and 506(ii) IPC, on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu.

3.The petitioners in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14887/2025 arrayed as A1 to A3 have filed this petition to quash the impugned final report in C.C.No.39 of 2024 filed for the offence under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC, on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu.

4. The allegation is that on account of some misunderstanding a wordy quarrel arose between the two rival parties, who abused and attacked each other. As a result two FIRs in Crime No.606 of 2021 and Crime No.596 3/20

of 2021 were registered as case and counter case. Thereafter the final reports were filed and taken on file as C.C.No.39 of 2024 and C.C.No.231 of 2024 respectively, on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu. All of them have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 22nd August 2025 in these two cases and the scanned copy of the compromise memo reads as follows: 4/20

5. The petitioners and the defacto complainants are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.S.Vivek Raj Kumar, Head Constable-2829, Orathanadu Police Station, Orathanadu. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

6. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final reports pending. Accordingly, the final reports in C.C.No.231 of 2024 and C.C.No. 39 of 2024 are quashed and the Criminal Original Petitions stand allowed. 18.09.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No PJL To
