ORDER

The petitioner is working as a Teacher in a private school. She lodged the complaint in Crime No.162 of 2025 that she has been assaulted by another Teacher, Correspondent and Headmaster of the school.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has sustained grievous injury, however the case has been registered for the simple injury. He further submits that the respondent police have not taken any steps to secure the accused.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submits that they have not received the wound certificate and has not recorded the evidence of the doctor. Based the wound certificate and the doctor's evidence, they would proceed further by altering the offence.

4.This court considered the rival submissions made. 5.The occurrence had taken place only on 24.07.2025. It appears that the petitioner has filed this petition that the respondent police have not arrested the accused in this case. Admittedly the accused are Teacher, Correspondent and Headmaster of the school. It is open to the respondent police to arrest the person depending upon the materials they collect and if custodial interrogation is required.

6.This court is not inclined to entertain this petition. However the respondent police shall conduct a fair investigation. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nagercoil shall monitor the investigation. Accordingly this petition is disposed of. 26.08.2025 DSK 3/5
