ORDER

The present petition has been filed by a Chief Civil Surgeon working at Block Primary Health Centre, Vadamadurai of Pazhani HOD seeking a Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider his representation, dated 06.08.2023.

2. According to the writ petitioner, as per G.O.Ms.No.354 Health and Family Welfare (B2) Department, dated 23.10.2009, one among the 100 upgraded Primary Health Centers selected for Chief Civil Surgeon by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine should be designated as Block Medical Officer. However, it is the grievance of the writ petitioner that he has been simply posted under the cadre of Assistant Surgeon and he has not been placed as in charge of Block Medical Officer.

3. Based on the said request the petitioner addressed a representation to the 2nd respondent herein on 06.08.2023. The said representation is still pending with the 2nd respondent herein. In view of 2/4

the above said facts, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
