PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to call for the entire records relating to the impugned FIR in Crime No.201 of 2022 dated 20.09.2022 on the file of the Respondent police and to quash the same.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.201 of 2022 dated 20.09.2022 on the file of the second Respondent.

2.When the case came up for hearing on 08.11.2022, the learned Counsel for the Petitioners submitted that there had been compromise between the Petitioners and the defacto complainant. Compromise memo was also recorded. At that stage, since the offences involved under the provisions of SC/ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2015, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor was directed to get instructions regarding payment of the 2/4

interim compensation to the third Respondent/defacto complainant and the case was adjourned to 10.11.2022.

3.Today, 10.11.2022, when the case came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the Respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the first Respondent had given written instructions stating that the defacto complainant had not received any interim compensation. 4.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and recording the terms of compromise memo, this Petition is allowed. The FIR in Crime No.201 of 2022 on the file of the second Respondent is quashed. The Joint Compromise Memo shall form part of this order. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
