Criminal Original Petition filed under section 528 of BNSS to direct the learned Special Sessions Judge for (SC/ST POA) Act Cases, Pudukottai, to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail application on the same day in connection with Crime No.162/2024 pending on the file of the Second Respondent Police.

ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.A.Balaji, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, Additional Public Prosecutor for the 1st and 2nd Respondent, this Court made the following order:

"This petition has been filed seeking extension of time to surrender of the petitioner before learned Special Sessions Judge for SC/ST (POA) Act Cases, Pudukkottai, as ordered by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.13648/2024, dated 20.08.2024.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner could not surrender before the concerned Court within the stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.

3.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is allowed and time is extended by ten days from the date of receipt of copy of this order."
