PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to transfer the investigation in Crime No.75 of 2022 from the file of the third respondent to the file of the fourth respondent and consequently direct the fourth respondent to conduct proper investigation in an expeditious manner and to file the final report within the stipulated period as prescribed by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.R.L.Dhilipan Pandian For Respondents : Mr.SS.Madhavan, Government Advocate [Crl. Side] O RDER This petition is filed seeking for transfer of investigation in Crime No.75 of 2022, pending on the file of the third respondent to any other police officer.

2.It is submitted that the petitioner's mother died in suspicious circumstances and after two days the police have registered a case in Crime No.75 of 2022 and during the course of investigation the petitioner has filed a detailed representation to the respondent police giving the details of the suspected persons responsible for the death of his mother. It is submitted that in spite of giving such representation, the police have not been investigating in the said lines. 2/5

3.Considering the said circumstances, the police should have taken prompt steps to investigate the offence, atleast after filing of a detailed representation in the month of November, 2022. The police should have expedited the investigation basing on the representation of the petitioner. However, it appears to this Court that the police are never evincing any interest. 4.In view of the above, the respondent police are directed to investigate the case basing on the representation submitted by the petitioner on 16.11.2022 and complete the investigation as quickly as possible within a period of one [1] month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
