This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent Police to initiate action on the complaint given by the petitioner on 03.08.2023 within a time fixed by this Court.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the official respondents submits that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner on 03.08.2023, the Police have registered a case in Crime No.178 of 2023 on 18.09.2023 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 427, 406, 420 and 506(2) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

3. Since the very purpose for which the present writ petition has been filed has already been defeated, no further orders can be passed.
