This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to survey and demarcate the petitioner's land in Patta No.3840 in Survey No.273/18 to an extent of 50 cents, situated at Nakkalapatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.07.2022.

2. Heard Mr.B.Muthukannan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Gandhiraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

The case of the petitioner is that on 29.07.2022, he has made a request to the first respondent seeking to demarcate his land in Patta No. 3840 in Survey No.273/18 to an extent of 50 cents situated at Nakkalapatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District. He has paid the required fee also. The first respondent has fixed the date for conducting the survey and demarcate his land on 16.09.2022 and the same was also informed to the adjacent land owners. But the first 2/4

respondent did not take any steps to survey and demarcate his land till date. Hence, the present writ petition is filed.

4. It appears that the petitioner has made a representation dated 29.07.2022, to the first respondent seeking for such relief. Therefore, it is for the first respondent to consider the said representation and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any opinion on the claim made by the petitioner. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.07.2022 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the parties concerned, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
