This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to make correction in respect of the village name of the petitioner and his brothers as "Mandalamanickam" in the Electoral List of the Q 1228, Mandalamanickam Primary Agriculture Co-operative Credit Society, Mandalamanickam, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District and further to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to take Legal Action as against the fourth respondent for his illegal and collusive act of changing the petitioner's village name which was wrongly mentioned in the recently published Electoral List, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 12.09.2019.
2.Heard Mr.R.Babu Jaganath, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the Election was conducted as early as on 27.11.2019. The mistake pointed out by the petitioner that the name of the petitioner's village is "Mandalamanickam", which was wrongly mentioned as "Idaichiurani", has already been rectified.
4.Since the mistake pointed out by the petitioner is rectified and the election was also held on 27.11.2019 and the petitioner has also contested in the election, no further order is necessary in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
