2.Writ Petitions have been filed seeking a Declaration that various provisions of the Tamil Nadu Tax on Entry of Motor Vehicles into Local Areas Act, 1990, are ultra Vires Articles 14, 19(1)(g), 301 and 304(a) and (b) of the Constitution of India.

3.Since the provisions of the Act have been upheld by the Supreme Court in Jindal Stainless Steel and another Vs. State of Haryana and others [(2017) 12 SCC 1], no declaration as sought for can 3/5
