This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.724 of 2016 on the file of the respondent, as against the petitioners.

2.The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that on the complaint lodged by the de facto complainant, the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.724 of 2016 for the offences under Section 387 of IPC., as against the petitioners. The first petitioner is also having six previous cases. Further, it is also seen that the first respondent has almost completed the investigation and about to file a final report.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.16293 of 2019 3.Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the first respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
