ORDER
The writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to recover the interest amount from the 3rd respondent as per the letter of the 2nd respondent.
2.The petitioner was employed as a lorry Driver under Southern Freight Carriers Company. During the course of his employment, he met with an accident and sustained grievous injuries. He filed an application for compensation under Section 10 of the Workmen's Compensation Act and a sum of Rs.4,02,673/- was awarded on 15.10.2012 with 12% interest per annum as compensation payable by the 3rd respondent. 3.The learned Counsel for the 3rd respondent submits that they have already paid a sum of Rs.1,43,638/- and only a sum of Rs.35,000/- alone has to be paid.
4.This writ petition was filed in the year 2016, however, so far no counter is filed. Therefore, this writ 2/4
petition is allowed with a direction to the 3rd respondent to pay the balance amount to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
