PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.289/22 on the file of the Respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A2, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 09.10.2022 for the offence punishable under Section 489 B of IPC in Crime No.289 of 2022 on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were found in illegal possession of fake currency of Rs.2,25,000/-. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is in judicial custody from 09.10.2022 and hence, he prays for bail.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the fake currency of Rs.2,25,000/- were recovered from the accused persons and the petitioner is having two previous cases, out of which, one case for similar offence and the investigation is still pending.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the facts that the petitioner is having two previous cases, out of which, one case for similar offence and the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.19266 of 2022 investigation is still pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
