Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take necessary action against the 6th to 13th respondents in accordance with law for committing the offence of ex-communication of petitioner and her family members and further direct the respondents 2 and 4 to provide adequate police protection to carry the Godess Shri Bhagavathy Amman as a customary right and to participate in the temple festival of Godess Shri Bhagavathi Amman temple going to be held on 05.04.2016 to 07.04.2016 at Ayyampalayam, Aathoor Taluk, Dindigul District. This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to take necessary action against the 6th to 13th respondents in accordance with law for committing the offence of ex-communication of petitioner and her family members and further direct the respondents 2 and 4 to provide adequate police protection to carry the Godess Shri Bhagavathy Amman as a customary right and to participate in the temple festival of Godess Shri Bhagavathi Amman temple going to be held on 05.04.2016 to 07.04.2016 at Ayyampalayam, Aathoor Taluk, Dindigul District.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that on receipt of representation given by the petitioner dated 05.02.2016, the fifth respondent has conducted detailed enquiry. After registered FIR, notice has been issued to the counter parties and the same was closed as the settlement arrived between parties so as to both the parties agreed to celebrate the temple festival jointly by report, dated 30.06.2020.
3.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
