2.It is submitted by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner / de-facto complainant is a senior citizen and that the case has been filed in respect of an offence committed on 15.07.2017. Though the FIR was registered in the year 2017, the police were able to file the charge sheet only in the year 2022 and even thereafter, though summons have been issued for securing the presence of the accused, the police are not evincing any interest. 3.Learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondent submits that the summons issued by the trial Court in this case to secure the accused will be served before the next hearing dated before the trial Court.
4.Since the accused themselves have not appeared before the trial Court, specific period cannot be fixed for the disposal of the case. However, considering the circumstances and hearing both sides, soon after the appearance of the accused the trial Court is directed to take all possible steps to see that C.C.No.743 of 2022 is disposed of as expeditiously as possible, if necessary by posting the same on every week, since the offence is committed in the year 2017 and the petitioner is a senior citizen.
