Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to disburse the retirement benefits and all other attendant benefits of the petitioner's deceased wife to the petitioner with an accrued interest thereon for the belated payment of monetary benefits at the rate of 18 % within the period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to issue a direction to the 2nd respondent to disburse the retirement benefits and all other attendant benefits of the petitioner's deceased wife to the petitioner with an accrued interest thereon for the belated payment of monetary benefits at the rate of 18 % within the period stipulated by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. Perused the materials available on record.

3.The petitioner's wife S.Manonmani was appointed as Stack Room Assistant in the respondent University. She died on 24.01.2022, while in service. However, her retirement benefits were not disbursed to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner filed representations, dated 10.02.2022 and 17.05.2022 before the respondents seeking to disburse the retirement benefits and all other attendant benefits of his deceased wife to him. Though part of her terminal benefits were disbursed, the remaining amount has been withheld by the respondents without any reason. The representations of the petitioner were also not considered. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed. 4.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representations submitted by the petitioner is considered by the respondents within the time limit stipulated by this Court.
5.In view of the above said submission and considering the limited scope of the matter, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 3/5
17.05.2022 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four(2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
