PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to subdivide the petitioner's property and to issue patta individually in his name based on the petitioner's application No.2023/0105/24/527507 dated 21.07.2023 in respect of Survey No.173/20A1A1A1 an extent of 16 cents in Thanakankulam Revenue Village of Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District by adopting due process of law. 1/4

The petitioner, with a grievance that his application dated 21.07.2023 for sub-division of property and issuing patta in respect of Survey No.173/20A1A1A1 situated in Thanakankulam Revenue Village of Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District, has not been considered, has filed the present Writ Petition.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent submits that the first respondent has to conduct enquiry and thereafter, appropriate orders would be passed.

3. Considering the fact that the application has been made by the petitioner on 21.07.2023, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible 2/4

preferably within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
