ORDER
This writ petition is filed for issuing a writ of Mandamus directing the 4th and 5th respondents to rectify the petitioner's date of birth as 13.12.1996 as per Birth Certificate, instead of 13.07.1996 and her father's name as Mohideen Abdul Khader instead of Mohamed Mohideen Abdul Khader in the School Transfer Certificate as well as petitioner's 10th Mark Sheet by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 22.03.2016 to them within the time period stipulated by this Court.
2.Though the petitioner seeks correction of School records, not only in respect of name of petitioner's father, but also regarding date of birth, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the relief can be confined to the name of petitioner's father in the school records. The petitioner has made a representation in this regard to the fourth respondent, the petitioner has approached this Court as the fourth respondent has not considered the representation so far.
3.Considering the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, dated 22.03.2016, the respondents 4 and 5 are directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 22.03.2016, regarding the correction of the name of the petitioner's father in her school records on merits and in accordance with law and dispose of it by passing a reasoned order, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
