ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to restore the electricity service connection in consumer No.06-465-001-145 in survey No.20/1, Vedavijayapuram Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, he has succeeded in S.A.No.1687 of 1991, dated 31.07.2002 passed by this Court.

3. However, a perusal of the order indicates that a portion of the property said to be in occupation of some third party has been left out and only for the rest of the portion, a decree for declaration of title and recovery of possession have been granted by this Court. 2/4

4. A perusal of the partition deed, dated 25.09.2014 also indicates that the old service connection, for which restoration is sought for has not been mentioned. Hence, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the respondent authorities for fresh service connection on production of all the relevant documents.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
