PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action and to provide adequate police protection to complete the temple work and to conduct the Kudamuluku to Arulmigu Bathrakali Amman Thirukovil Vairavikinaru, Koodankulam Post, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 10.03.2023 and 24.07.2023.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to complete the temple work and to conduct the Kudamuluku to Arulmigu Bathrakali Amman Thirukovil Vairavikinaru, Koodankulam Post, Radhapuram Taluk, 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is constructing a temple and sought police protection. 2/5

3.The learned Counsel for the respondents 5, 6 and 8 submits that the petitioner is collecting money in the guise of construction of the temple and he is also attempting to conduct Kudamuluku for the temple, where Kudamuluku was already conducted.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that it is a private temple.

5.Considering the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner and the respondents to file necessary application before the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department and to obtain a permission from the Department before proceeding further with the administration of the Temple. No costs.
