PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the impugned order, which is an online communication by the 2nd respondent pertaining to the application of the petitioner bearing No. TN-7202211281255 dated 28.11.2022 applied through Citizen Account No.133241621381807 and quash the same as illegal and arbitrary and consequently directing the 2nd respondent to issue the legal heir certificate to the petitioner based on the report submitted by the 3rd respondent dated 15.02.2022 within a time frame fixed by this Honble Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned online communication issued by the second respondent rejecting the application given by the petitioner on 28.11.2022 for issuing Legal Heir Certificate to him.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, on instructions, submits that the application of the petitioner was rejected on the ground that the deceased person, namely, M.Periyakaruppan, who is stated to be the father of the petitioner, was having two wives, and the petitioner is claiming to be the son of the second wife.

3. Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. There shall be no order as to costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
